Universal Motown Artist KEM Enhances Free Mobile App Features to Expand Fan Experience

R&B Superstar, KEM, Answers Fan Requests for More Exclusive Access

Detroit, MI, May 6, 2011 – Universal Motown singer-songwriter-producer, KEM, announced today that after overwhelmingly positive feedback from fans about his free mobile app, that launched during GRAMMY week, that he is expanding its features, as well as launching a new mobile website for fans without access to an iPhone or Android device.

The new version of the KEM app includes an exclusive photo gallery, as well as a new geo-location feature that will give fans special access to events and offers, based on their location. The new version will also allow fans to share their own KEM videos and photos.

KEM’s new mobile website (http://musicbykem.com/mobile) will allow fans - who don’t have an iPhone or Android device - to enjoy the same access to exclusive KEM information and content as app users, through their phone or computer browser. Through the mobile site, all KEM fans will have access to his Twitter feed, tour dates, exclusive videos & photos, music, etc.

“When we launched the app during GRAMMY week, I knew it’d be a great way to share such an incredibly special experience directly with fans,” said KEM. “It turned out to be even more special than I could have imagined after the overwhelming number of fans who downloaded the app and followed events of that week and then the ‘Intimacy Tour’ through my eyes. After the KEM app launched during GRAMMY week, it was quickly downloaded by more than 4,000 fans. 95% of users opted in to receive direct communications from KEM, demonstrating clear value for the mobile app as an essential component of further development of KEM's brand.
