Fresh from renovation,Arrowhead Stadium hosted a July 2010 exhibi- tion game between the Kansas City Wizards and Manchester United. Given the significance of the soccer match, event organizers turned to Moblico to give fans a truly memorable in-stadium experience.
How Moblico Got Fans Into The Game
Moblico provides integrated mobile offerings that allow organiza- tions to acquire, retain, transact and support customer relationships. Moblico created a number of in-venue events that engaged fans via the digital jumbo screen and their mobile devices. Throughout the game, attendees participated in interactive, real-time challenges that enabled fans to receive exclusive deals and inside information on 2011 season tickets to help celebrate the new stadium. Plus each text message sent by participants was an entry for their chance to win autographed Manchester United jersey.
The fan response was tremendous, having led to 4451 participating messages.The event grew the Wizards’ existing marketing database by 120%, enabling them to grow closer to their fans with continued communications.
