UMB Bank is a complete banking and related financial services provider with 136 retail locations in seven states - Missouri, Illinois, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Arizona. Every year the sales team comes together for a day-long meeting in which they address a variety of subjects important to the company.

About 400 people participated in UMB Bank's March 2010 gathering, engaging in break-out sessions, special activities and executive speeches.

How Moblico Worked for UMB Bank
Moblico provides integrated mobile offerings that allow companies to acquire, retain, transact and support customer relationships. Despite its size, UMB Bank wanted to find a way to create a sales meeting experience that was inclusive and more personalized for each participant. Through Moblico's mobile solutions network, UMB engaged with meeting attendees by sending event-specific messages to their phones. Organizers were able to broadcast messages to smaller groups within the meeting, as well as receive responses from members of the sales team. The two-way communication via mobile provided individuals with the opportunity to directly interact with organizers and senior executives, rather than just be a passive event attendee.

Another advantage of the mobile communications was the ability to keep the event on track. It is often a challenge to maintain the proposed schedule for any one-day event, but with the mobile alerts, organizers were able to communicate and changes or requests instantly to the entire group.
